Hi all, welcome to my blog.

I have been wanting to start a blog for some time, but I managed to talk myself out of it on several occasions and sometime last year, I dipped my toes in by starting an Instagram account to document my love of travelling and I finally think it’s time to launch myself in to the deep end.

There are many reasons not to start especially as there are so many people blogging about travel but I also think every story needs to be told and based on what I know of life, there are people waiting to hear my story and there are lives waiting to be impacted.

I hope through this blog, you’ll share in my adventures and you’ll see the world through the eyes of a mid-30s, black, female. As a young girl, I never thought I could get to travel as much as I have but I saw myself in a lot of the women who I admired and I hope some of you, will see a bit of yourself in me.

To be honest, I’m afraid and I mean very afraid of failing but one thing I keep telling myself is I’ll never know and I’ll never succeed at it, if I never start. So here’s to me being vulnerable and taking the bull by the horn and here’s to my success and yours.
